The mosque sits in Firozpur, a few kilometres south of the modern Sona Masjid border crossing in Shibganj Upazila, Chapainawabganj District. From Dhaka, it is roughly a 320-kilometre drive (six to seven hours) via Bogura. The nearest large rail terminus is Rajshahi, three hours' drive from the site. মসজিদ অবস্থিত ফিরোজপুরে — চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ জেলার শিবগঞ্জ উপজেলায়, আধুনিক সোনা মসজিদ স্থলবন্দরের কয়েক কিলোমিটার দক্ষিণে। ঢাকা থেকে বগুড়া হয়ে প্রায় ৩২০ কিমি (ছয়-সাত ঘণ্টা)। নিকটতম বড়ো রেল-টার্মিনাস রাজশাহী, স্থান থেকে তিন ঘণ্টার পথ।
If you are travelling from India, the closest gateway is Mahadipur (Malda district, West Bengal), via the Sona Masjid land port. Day visits from Malda are common. ভারত থেকে এলে নিকটতম গেটওয়ে মহাদিপুর (মালদা জেলা, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ) — সোনা মসজিদ স্থলবন্দর হয়ে। মালদা থেকে দিনের পরিদর্শন সাধারণ।
The mosque is a short walk from the road. There is a modest car park, a custodian's office, and (during festival seasons) a small array of tea-and-snack stalls catering to visitors. মসজিদ সড়ক থেকে অল্প হাঁটা পথ। একটি ছোট পার্কিং, কাস্টোডিয়ান-অফিস, এবং উৎসব-মৌসুমে দর্শনার্থীদের জন্য চা-নাশতার স্টল।
Long trousers or skirts; covered shoulders. Women should carry a headscarf for use inside the prayer hall. Avoid sleeveless tops or shorts. লম্বা ট্রাউজার বা স্কার্ট; কাঁধ ঢাকা। নারীরা নামাজঘরের জন্য মাথা ঢাকার ওড়না সঙ্গে রাখুন। স্লিভলেস বা শর্টস পরিহার্য।
Shoes must be left at the eastern threshold. There is a designated rack. Walking on prayer carpets in shoes is considered a serious offence. জুতো অবশ্যই পূর্ব প্রান্তে রেখে যেতে হবে। জুতা-রাখার নির্দিষ্ট স্থান রয়েছে। জুতা পায়ে জায়নামাজে চলা গুরুতর অশিষ্টাচার।
If you arrive during one of the five daily prayer times, please wait at the periphery until the salat is complete. Photography during prayer is discouraged. পাঁচ ওয়াক্ত নামাজের কোনো একটির সময়ে পৌঁছালে, নামাজ শেষ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত পরিধিতে অপেক্ষা করুন। নামাজ চলাকালে আলোকচিত্র গ্রহণ অনুচিত।
Skin oils and pressure accelerate the wear of basalt carving. Admire from a respectful distance — even more so the mihrabs. ত্বকের তেল ও চাপ বেসাল্ট-খোদাইয়ের ক্ষয় ত্বরান্বিত করে। সম্মানজনক দূরত্ব থেকে দর্শন করুন — মিহরাবের ক্ষেত্রে বিশেষভাবে।
Even outside prayer times, keep voices low. The space is sacred. Ringtones and loud calls are out of place. নামাজের বাইরেও নিচু কণ্ঠে কথা বলুন। স্থানটি পবিত্র। মোবাইলের রিংটোন বা চিৎকার অশোভন।
Names scratched into stone are an irreversible loss. The mosque has survived 530 years; let your visit not be the one that hurt it. পাথরে আঁকা নাম এক অপ্রতিরোধ্য ক্ষতি। মসজিদ ৫৩০ বছর টিকে আছে; আপনার পরিদর্শন যেন তাকে আঘাত করা না-হয়।
